Dos Santos Food Pantry & Thrift Store

What We Do

At Dos Santos, neighbors help neighbors.

We are an all-volunteer-run food pantry dedicated to providing healthy, culturally appropriate food to immigrant and agricultural worker families across Accomack and Northampton Counties on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. Everything we do is powered by people who care.

To keep our shelves stocked, we operate a thriving thrift store in Onley—turning community donations into vital food support for families in need.

Today, Dos Santos serves more than 800 families every month, making us the Shore’s largest partner agency of the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. Behind every number is a family working hard and doing their best to get by.

We meet people where they are:

  • Emergency food assistance is available throughout the month at the Dos Santos Thrift Store in Onley

  • Our mobile pantry travels across the Shore:

    • Pungoteague – 1st Sunday

    • Parksley – 2nd Sunday

    • Eastville – 3rd Sunday

The need is growing—and so is our commitment to meet it.

You can be part of this work. Whether you donate, volunteer, or shop at our thrift store, you help put food on the table for families who need it most.

Together, we are building a stronger, more compassionate Eastern Shore.

Did You Know?

Dos Santos is the Spanish term for 'two saints'.

It reflects the origin of this organization that began at two historically yoked faith communities and was founded by two faith leaders— Angélica Garcia and the Rev. Cameron Randle.

Emergency Food Aid for

Temporary Farm Workers

Our grocery stores are filled with fresh fruits and vegetables—an everyday reminder of the abundance we enjoy. However, the hard work of migrant farm workers often goes unnoticed, despite its crucial role in creating that abundance.

Each year, workers travel from Mexico and Central America to the Eastern Shore through temporary H-2A visas, taking on demanding agricultural jobs that sustain our food supply. Their work is essential, but their lives are often unseen.

Farm work depends on the harvest, and when crops fail, so does income. Most seasons bring some amount of difficult weather and reduced yields, leaving workers without pay for days or even weeks. Without wages, they face an unthinkable reality: not having enough food to eat.

When that happens, Dos Santos Food Pantry steps in to provide emergency support. As the season ends, many workers leave the area, but they return again in April. Every year we must be ready.

Now is the time to act.

With your support, we can ensure that when these workers are on the Shore, they are met with compassion, dignity, and the basic nourishment everyone deserves.
