Dos Santos serves the immigrant and farm worker communities in Accomack and Northampton counties on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. We believe that feeding the hungry is not only something we ought to do but also something we must do — it's a matter of justice.
Dos Santos is assisting the migrant farmworker and Latino/Latinx community of the Eastern Shore. We are in great need of financial contributions since the economic impact of inflation and higher prices have increased the number of families who are suffering from food insecurity and seeking out help.
We are now operating three food pantry sites instead of just one and serving approximately 150 FAMILIES. The need for our services has tripled and so have the costs. The pantry now serves on the first, second and third Sunday of the month (at 3 different locations) in Pungoteague, Parksley and Eastville.
Dos Santos is the Spanish term for 'two saints'.
It reflects the origin of this organization that began at two historically yoked faith communities and was founded by two faith leaders— Angélica Garcia and the Rev. Cameron Randle.
